Aquarium Take Two

Over New Years weekend, John's immediate family came down to visit. Unfortunately, his brothers kids were both sick so they didn't make it, but we still had fun with everyone who made it down. Since we bought a pass to the Tennessee Aquarium, we decided to make his family go there. We hadn't been back since our first visit back in September when we moved here.

Christmas (The 4th and Final Installment)

I love Christmas....celebrating Jesus' birth, decorating the tree, spending time with family and friends, eating lots of yummy food, presents...I could go on, but boy was this a busy Christmas for us! After we celebrated Christmas at my Dad's house we headed two hours north to celebrate Christmas with John's extended family.

After this celebration we drove back to my Dad's and then home to Tennessee the next day. We sure enjoyed seeing everyone, but it was nice to get back home. We were exhausted! Maybe next year we will spend Christmas on a Caribbean cruise!

Christmas (Part 3 of our adventure)

Christmas morning was spent at my Dad and Stepmoms house with my brother and his family coming over also. We always eat a yummy brunch before we open presents.

We had fun celebrating Christmas with my family, but we still weren't done....We headed north on Christmas afternoon to celebrate Christmas with John's extended family.

Christmas Eve (Part 2 of our Adventure)

Christmas has always been busy for us because with two sides of the family we are always trying to spend time with everyone. Now that we moved away, this Christmas was a little busier as we were trying to see some extra family and friends while we were back in town. On Christmas Eve, we spent part of the morning visiting with John's grandma.

In the afternoon we headed to Christmas Eve service at our old church. My dad and Stepmom joined us for service and then we went to dinner together. It was nice to get to spend a little extra time with them. After dinner we headed over to our good friends (and former neighbors) Steve and Laura's house. We've gone over to their house for several Christmas Eve's now and we just couldn't break the tradtion.

Christmas (Part 1 of our Adventure)

Trying to coordinate everyone's schedule seems to be one of the most difficult parts of Christmas, but we always manage to figure out a time. This year we were able to celebrate Christmas with John's family two days before Christmas. I guess it doesn't matter when it happens, as long as we find time to spend with our families.
