Easter (Part 1)

Easter activities kept us pretty busy, so I decided I better do posts in segments. I never know how much time I'm going to get to work on these blog posts (since most of them are done when Regs is napping). One of the first Easter activities we did was an egg hunt and festival at a local church here in town.

First ever face painting and by the look on her face I'm not sure if she liked it or not!

First ever egg hunt and she is already a pro! Well, I guess she did do an egg hunt last year, but it was really more of us picking up eggs for her since she had no idea what was going on!

Red's Opening Day

Just because we moved away from Cincinnati doesn't mean we still aren't Reds fans! In fact, John even took off work early to be able to watch the Opening Day game! He also had to do some sort of upgrade to our satellite package to be able to watch the game, but assures me that it is worth every extra penny it costs! While this was no where near as good as being at the game, it was the next best thing we could do!

Now when we put Reagan in her Reds shirt she says, "Go Reds"...she is a quick learner!

It just wouldn't be opening day without baseball cupcakes!

Hopefully one of these years we will make it back up to Cincinnati for opening day. It is like a national holiday in Cincinnati for those that don't know. I know John is looking forward to taking Reagan sometime soon!

Reagan's First Carousel Ride

I'm pretty sure I will never get caught up on this blog since the days seem to pass faster than I can catch up on here and as you all know, a 2 year old can keep you very busy! Anyways, way back in early March we went down to Chattanooga with some friends. They have a real nice park that we checked out which also had a carousel at it. I'm not sure how Reagan got to be almost 2 and never made it on a carousel, but it happened so this was her first time riding on it! She was fine until the horse (or dog, or whatever she was riding, I can't remember) started moving up and down! She immediately jumped off and wanted me to hold her!

Before the carousel started! Yes, she is also sporting a very nice shiner that she got a few days earlier at another park!

For our second ride we had to sit on the seat that didn't move...she was a little better this way!

The good news is we went to the zoo last weekend and they also had a carousel. Reagan rode 3 times on animals that moved and wasn't scared! She just kept saying "One more time!"

St. Patrick's Day and the Circus

I'm obviously still trying to catch up on my blog so I am finally just getting around to blogging about St. Patrick's Day and the circus. The day before St. Patrick's Day Reagan and I went to a potluck with some other mom's I've met in town. I brought the yummy fruit pictured below.

It had to be a rainbow of course. I wanted to lay it out on a tray, but didn't have one big enough and then I wondered what it would look like after transporting it in the car!

I made these yummy treats for us (thanks to pinterest for the recipe). They aren't as good as rice krispie treats in my opinion, but they were still good, and festive!

Of course John had to make Reagan shamrock shaped pancakes for breakfast on Saturday morning!

After breakfast, we took Reagan to get some Easter pictures done. Nothing like knocking out one holiday pictures on another one! Then after Reagan got a nap in we headed to the circus! We were attempting to see how much we could fit into one day!

The way too expensive toy we bought for Reagan to keep her entertained when she started to get restless. I'm pretty sure she has played with it once since we went to the circus. I think I'll just take it with us if we go back next year!

John and I were impressed with these two...Reagan not so much! Yes, that is the women holding the man up!

I guess this is as good as it gets when you try to take a family picture at the end of a long day!

In early March we headed back to Cincinnati to celebrate Baby Hazel's (as Reagan affectionately refers to her as) first birthday! Her Mom and Dad are our good friends Kirk and Paula and we just couldn't miss her first birthday!

This little girl sure does! I should say at least she did on this day. Toddlers are so unpredictable. This day she couldn't get enough of them. She was even eating them off of our plates!

Is there any wonder why this child has to get a bath every night, or why our table and floor have to be cleaned after every time she eats!

Celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday

Way back in the beginning of March the local community college here in town had a party for Dr. Seuss' birthday.  They had all kinds of activities set up for the kiddos. It is also apparently a very popular activity because it was packed! Reagan and I met up with our friends Megan and Kaylee. With two toddlers in a very crowded place, we didn't stay for a long time, but we stayed long enough for Reagan and Kaylee to have fun and Megan and I to feel exhausted after trying to keep up with them!
