18 months old!

This cute, adorable girl turned 18 months old on October 27th! Can't believe I am just getting around to posting it. Well, at the rate I post everything else, I guess I can believe it!

At 18 months old she came in at:
31 3/4 inches and 24 lbs 5 oz

We still can't believe how fast the time has gone. She is changing so much everyday. She brings us so much joy and is such a blessing! We love her so much!

Thanksgiving

Although very late, I am at least proud of myself for getting this done before Christmas. I love Thanksgiving and the reminder that not just at this time of year, but throughout the whole year we have so much to be thankful for. With the move to Tennessee, this Thanksgiving was a little different. We had only been in our house about a week before we had to pack up and head to Ohio for the holiday. We were thankful that we were able to find our suitcases before we left! Traveling for Thanksgiving means lots of driving and we tried to fit in seeing as many friends and family as possible. To split the drive up a little, we drove to Cincinnati on Wednesday and then on Thanksgiving Day we drove further north to Marysville, Ohio to visit with lots of John's extended family.

Lots of the Weiss clan playing Apples to Apples!
Reagan and her cousin Kyle!

While in Cincinnati, our good friends Kirk and Paula put us up most nights at their house. This meant Reagan had a friend to play with.

Hazel is so much bigger than when we moved away a few months ago!
Reagan likes to make sure all of Hazel's toys work properly!

On Friday we visited with our old neighbors and good friends Steve and Laura and got to see their two adorable daughters! I'll try to get some pictures with them at Christmas!

On Saturday we headed over to my Dad's house to celebrate Thanksgiving. For some reason I didn't take any pictures so I stole the following off of his facebook account. I figured it was only fair since he is always taking pictures of Reagan that I post! :)

Reagan, Alex and Eli!
I guess the turkey did in both Josh and Teddy!
Teddy, Papaw, and Reagan!
All the boys eating!
Hi Teddy!
Reagan found a new toy she likes!

We finished up by visiting our old church on Sunday and having lunch with our good friends Erin and Jeremy and their two kiddos, Kate and James! We stayed very busy during the whole trip. Unfortunately,  it rained the whole drive home which made for a much slower trip. We sure were glad to be home!

Bye Bye Apartment, Hello House!

When John first moved down to Cleveland in July his company put him up in a furnished two bedroom apartment. We were extremely thankful for this because it meant we didn't have to pay rent and a mortgage (while we were waiting for our house in Ohio to sell) and it meant we didn't have to move any large furniture down here. The apartment worked really well when it was just John down here. When Reagan and I moved down here in September (after we were blessed with a quick sale of our house in Ohio) the apartment started to feel a little cramped. I can't believe how much other "stuff" we brought into a furnished apartment! Even though we were a little cozy, we were still very thankful for the apartment because it allowed us to save up a little bit more money for our house.

When we closed on our house in mid October, we were again thankful to have the apartment to stay at while we did a little painting and got the hardwood floors refinished. We were anxious to finally move into our house in mid November. Unfortunately, the move came at the same time as a  big software conversion at work for John, so he was a little overwhelmed and tired! Now if we can just get someone to finish unpacking all our boxes. Moving makes you realize how much unneeded junk you have!
Our Apartment! Lucky number 7!
Nice and cozy inside!
Look closely and you can see Reagan!
Reagan is ready to help out!
Before we painted the dining room!
After...and before the floors had their final stain on them. Next project is to get rid of that really ugly chandelier!

Speaking of projects...we don't have a shortage of them in this house. We've painted a lot of the house, but our house was built when wallpaper was popular. Needless to say, we aren't real fans of it!

Yes, this wallpaper is on ever inch of wall in the kitchen...including a closet (which does have doors, they were off while we did the floors). I'm not really looking forward to taking all this down, but it will look so much better when it is gone!
And who wouldn't want wallpaper all over the bathroom also!
And so this bathroom doesn't feel left out either, it has some more "pretty" wallpaper! Not to mention the wonderful mirror this bathroom also has.

While there are many projects we eventually want to get to, we really love this house. I think the best part is the woods behind the backyard. These are much prettier to look at instead of another house! We feel very blessed to be living where we are. There is also plenty of room for visitors anytime someone is coming this way!

And just because I know you want to see a few pictures of Reagan, I've included some.

This is what happens when you get in a fight with the bathtub, and the bathtub wins.
You'll be seeing this cute picture again when you get a Christmas card from us! Hopefully that will be before Christmas!

I didn't get a lot of pictures from Thanksgiving, but I'll try to get the ones I did take posted soon...as in before Christmas hopefully!
