Visiting the Pumpkin Patch!

A few weekends ago Grandpa and Grandma came down to visit us. It was nice to have visitors and while they were here we decided to check out the pumpkin patch. I guess we were pretty spoiled back in Cincinnati with a really nice pumpkin patch because the one we went to this year was a little disappointing. But we left with 3 (or 4 if you count Reagan) pumpkins so I guess it wasn't a complete waste! It was entirely too hot for a day at the pumpkin patch though. I enjoy it much more when it actually feels like fall, instead of summer, at the pumpkin patch.

Grandpa and Reagan walking to check out the tractor. We have not been brainwashed into being UT fans yet, but we sure do see a lot of orange around here!

Watch out! It can't be safe if Reagan is driving!

Our family!

Reagan is making sure the pumpkin we picked out is nice and sturdy!

The four pumpkins we left with!

Mommy and Reagan getting ready to go down the slide!

I think this is the fastest slide I've ever been on and there is no way to stop before you hit the sand at the end!

It must run in the family...Grandpa is making Reagan pet the goat!

....and the pig!

Reagan is ready to ride!

I don't think you will see us next year!

Grandma was there too, but we didn't get any pictures at the pumpkin patch so we made sure to get in a picture before bed!

Next year, we will have to check out a different pumpkin patch or maybe just plan a visit back to Cincinnati in October!

Swimming Lessons

A couple weeks ago we signed Reagan up for swim lessons at the YMCA. Yeah, we realize at this age it isn't really swim lessons, but more of just exposing her to being in the water. We probably didn't need to spend the money on it because we could just take her to the pool, but she seems to enjoy playing with the toys and the two other little ones in the class. John and I have been taking turns being in the pool with her.

Riding the Magic Carpet!

 Chasing the bubbles!

Doing the Hokey Pokey!

Reagan LOVED the slide!

Reagan also LOVED blowing bubbles in the water with Mommy!

Practicing our back float!

The YMCA also has a really big outdoor pool that we will be checking out next summer, but for the winter I think we will just stick with coming to the indoor pool!

Jumpin' Junction

A few weeks ago we checked out Jumpin' Junction in town. This place will definitely be more fun for Reagan when she is a little older, but I'm sure we will be checking this place out again when it is too cold to play outside.

Reagan's favorite thing to do was ride in this car! I'm sure she will be happy when we get her own car out of storage and she can ride it again!

Daddy and Reagan getting ready to go down the slide!

Wwweeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

Oh No! Daddy let Reagan go down alone!

Reagan wasn't really sure about riding solo!!

Mommy and Reagan had fun on the slide together!

Reagan thought this scooter was pretty neat!

Climbing in tunnels is always a lot of fun!

We almost lost her in the ball pit!

I think we will take that cutie in the ball pit home with us!

Eventually, I'll also get around to posting about swim lessons, and our visit to the pumpkin patch. This weekend we are also hitting up the Apple Festival!

Peanut Butter and Jelly

Who doesn't like a good PB & J??? And who doesn't like reading a blog post about it too?? Well, everyone in our family loves a yummy PB&J sandwich, but I'm pretty sure no one enjoys them more than Reagan.

Already digging in!

Yummy!

"I wish this was my lunch everyday!"

Who says you can't dance and eat at the same time?!

Nothing better than a little milk to go with my sandwich!

Usually the mess Reagan makes while eating her PB&J is much worse, but she enjoys it so much I don't mind cleaning her up. Although I'm pretty sure she would be perfectly fine walking around for the rest of the day with jelly all over her face!

Creative Discovery Museum

I haven't forgotten that in my last post I said I would write about our visit to the Creative Discovery Museum in Chattanooga and I am finally getting around to it! So a couple weekends back we headed back to Chattanooga to check out the museum. Some people had told us it would be fun, but I always wonder how much there will be for Reagan to do at her age. I agree that it was pretty fun for her, but there will be a lot more she can do once she gets a little older so we are looking forward to making some more trips in the future.
Reagan loved playing in the water. She especially loved filling up the boat and dumping the water on the ground. Next time maybe we should put her in some rain boots!

Daddy and Reagan had lots of fun climbing!

Some local high school students were dressed up as several different nursery rhyme characters and we had fun visiting each different one.

Okay, maybe Reagan didn't have as much fun. She was terrified of Little Bo Peep's sheep so we did what every good parent does and forced her to pet the sheep!

She did have fun making a crown, or at least watching Daddy make her a crown!

Amazingly, she actually wore the crown for about 20 minutes before she yanked it off!

Going down the slide in style!

Helping Daddy sing!

If it makes noise, you know Reagan is going to like it!

What is better than a rooftop swing?!

We only spent a couple hours here, but there was still a lot more to do. I'm pretty sure we will be making some more visits here in the near future!
